Turn Your Budget Into Turns
This is the single most useful calculation in the whole game, and the demo is where to practise it. Divide the money you are prepared to spend by the bet you intend to place:

Rows with 40 or 50 turns in them are the dangerous ones. Bait boxes appear on their own schedule, and a run that short very often finishes without reaching a bonus round at all.
Five Things to Time in Free Play
- Turns between bonus rounds. Count them three separate times, then take the average.
- Fish per collection. Watch how many loaded fish are genuinely on screen when an angler lands.
- How far the meter fills. Note how often you reach 3x, and how seldom 10x arrives.
- What a bought round returns. Each one costs 100 bets, R100 at a R1 turn. Buy several, add up what you spent, then add up what came back.
- How long auto turns last. Fifty turns pass faster than most people expect.
Reading the Collect Meter
That strip above the reels is the most informative part of the screen and most players ignore it. Each angler fills one slot. Markers on slots four, eight and twelve carry the extra ten turns together with the 2x, 3x and 10x collect multipliers.
Once you can read it, you know how a round is going before it ends. Two slots filled with three turns left means a quiet finish. Seven slots filled with eight turns left means the round still has room to grow.
Auto Turns and Setting Limits
The auto turns panel takes a number of spins plus two stop rules: stop on a single win above a figure you set, and stop if the balance falls under a figure you set. In free play it is a fast way to cover ground. With real money it is how you fix a limit while you are still thinking clearly instead of halfway through a losing run.
